One of the best parts of being a photographer is traveling and experiencing new places. I had the privilege of traveling to Washington DC this year for the first time in my life. I met Joe on a hospital ship in West Africa (www.mercyships.org) back in 2003 and never imagined I would be shooting his wedding in DC one day. It was not only a fun wedding to shoot but Joe is an amazing guy with a huge passion for helping the needy. I always admired his determination, friendly personality and hard work ethic.
